Anime styles to choose from

Modern anime: clean lines and bright colors, like a current TV series
Retro 90s anime: softer colors, film grain and big expressive eyes
Shoujo: delicate lines, sparkles and a romantic mood
Action / shounen-style: dynamic poses, sharp angles and bold shadows
Chibi: small, round and cute, perfect for stickers and emotes
Fantasy light novel: detailed outfits and painterly backgrounds
Cel-shaded: flat colors with crisp shadow shapes, great for game characters

Build your anime OC

Choose a style from the presets above.
Design the look. Pick hair style and color, eye color, outfit, accessories and expression, or type a description like "silver-haired swordswoman with a cheerful smile and a torn red scarf".
Generate. The anime character generator draws your character and writes a profile: name, personality, abilities and backstory.
Try variations. Keep the same character and change the outfit, expression or style to build a full character sheet.

Tips for a memorable anime character

Give them one signature detail. A scar, an unusual hair streak, a weapon, a pet or a piece of jewelry makes a character recognizable instantly.
Let colors tell the story. Warm colors read as friendly or fiery, cool colors as calm or mysterious. Choose a small palette and stick to it.
Match the outfit to the role. A student, a knight and a hacker should be readable from their silhouette alone.
Write a contradiction. The cutest-looking character who is secretly the strongest is a classic for a reason.

Original anime characters only

This tool creates original characters in an anime style. It does not recreate characters from existing anime, manga or games, and prompts that ask for them may not work as expected. Adult and violent content is blocked.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the anime character creator free?

You can start free with 10 credits on a new account. Each generated character uses a few credits, and you can buy more on the pricing page.

Can I make an anime version of myself?

Yes. Describe yourself, including hair, eyes, glasses, favorite clothes and personality, and choose a style. The result is an original anime character inspired by your description.

Can I download my anime character?

Yes. Every character can be downloaded as a high-resolution PNG and saved to My Characters.

Can I use my anime OC for a VTuber avatar or profile picture?

Yes, you can use characters you create as avatars, profile pictures and stream art. For a talking avatar with multiple expressions, try the PNGTuber Maker.

What is the difference between an anime character creator and an anime character generator?

They are two names for the same idea. On this site, "creator" means you control the details with options, and "generator" means you can leave everything random. The tool here does both: set what you care about and let the AI decide the rest.
